Boston University released a statement following Cooper’s allegations, noting that there was a “zero tolerance policy for sexual harassment” on campus.
“We have a major athletic program striving for excellence in the scholar-athlete experience, which includes excellent practices and policies,” continued the school’s statement. “We have a robust system of resources, support and staff dedicated to student wellbeing and a thorough reporting process through our Equal Opportunities Office. Cooper made it clear in the day of Tuesday Fashionable Profile that the sexual harassment issue goes well beyond college sports.
“This is the workforce; this is in relationships,” said Cooper before reflecting on her own experience. “As long as you come to achieve and collect platform and get money and safety and influence, it all goes out the window when something traumatic happens to you.”
The Podcaster knew that making the decision to come forward with its allegations was something “more than me.”
“I need to use my voice because what have I really built this whole thing?” He added.
