Andre Ward shouted Anthony Joshua today on Instagram, saying he would leave retirement “If the business was right.”
Former two-year-old two-year-old (32-0, 17 kos) has not struggled in eight years since he retired in 2017 after his eliminatory victory over a Sergey Kovalev. He is now interested in returning if he can fight Joshua, as long as the terms of negotiation are of his taste.
AJ responded to Ward’s call, saying: “Payment day. Payment day (Canelo voice).”
Joshua’s reaction would seem to be a strong sign that is not interested in fighting Ward, and it is understandable why. Ward has been withdrawn too long and is unknown to younger fans who did not follow sports during their early years before calling it in 2017.
Joshua is in negotiations for a mega-lluit against Jake Paul, which could be the most economically struggle in sport. Paul is a massive name on social networks, and it is expected that AJ will obtain his greatest career in the fight against him. I
n contrast, if Joshua had to fight Ward, the money would be chicken food compared and would not lose a struggle for nothing. In addition to Jake Paul, Joshua could have a lumpy days fighting Daniel Dubois in a resale, Tyson Fury if he left his retirement or Oleksandr Usyk.
“I am asked day by day. Instagram Today. “Most days I don’t miss it. I’m really happy to do what I do in life right now. Who would fight? This is the problem.
“There are many names here, but they do not make sense many names. But there is a name I presented before. When you say that name, I could see myself fighting against him today.
“If the business was right And everything was fine on this front. Me and Anthony Joshua. This is a struggle that I would make at Wembley Stadium. It is a dangerous struggle for my legacy. It is a dangerous struggle through the table, but this is a struggle that would take me to the gym and take me to the mentality I need to go to war. He is Anthony Joshua.
“I know you get ready to fight Jake Paul. That’s what happens. I’m talking about a real struggle for the legacy,” said Ward.
It’s too late for Andre Ward. It has been retired too long and never was a great PPV star before hanging gloves. It was not this type of fighter. He should have left his retirement years ago if he wanted to be blessed with a paid day against Joshua or other big name like Fury. Now it’s too late. He is 41 years old, and there are not enough people who remember him.
