Coach Abel Sanchez says he has worries about the fist power that the heavyweight contestant David Adeleye owns for his fighter, Filip Hrgovic, who entered his ten -round combat this Saturday, August 16 in Riad.
The 2016 Bronze Olympic medalist Hrgovic (18-1, 14 kos) struggles for the second time, having been eliminated in the eighth round by Daniel Dubois in 2024.
33 -year -old Hrgovic did not seem so great in his last struggle, needing to fight hard to defeat Joe Joyce in “The Juggernaut” for a unanimous decision of ten rounds on April 5. He was supposed to have been a trusted builder for Hrgovic, but he almost lost. It is difficult to get a great impulse from the ego of its performance against the badly slowed Joyce.
Hrgovic-Adeleye is part of the Moses Ituma vs. Dillian Whyte Undercard Dazn PPV This Saturday. The event is priced $ 49.99Which has made many boxing enthusiasts unhappy, as they do not see the card as a PPV worthy.
Adeleye (14-1, 13 kos) was eliminated in the seventh round two years ago when he rose worldwide and was learned by Fabiel Wardley. Before, Adeleye had been fighting the second -level opposition. From this defeat, he has returned to this level and won his last two fights against the unnamed opposition.
“Fabio’s struggle (Wardley), I saw and obviously not the winner, but he is a very achieved young man,” said coach Abel Sanchez a According to About David Adeleye. “It’s a big punch, very skilled, very strong. So we’re looking for a hard struggle. It’s not a walk,” Sánchez said about the clash of Philip Hrgovic against Adeleye this Saturday night in Riad.
Adeleye can hit but he is still learning. Like Ituma, Adeleye did not have much amateur career before turning a professional after a single fight. So this is essentially his fond career now and why he is likely to lose Saturday. Adeleye has a chance to hit Hrgovic, but it’s about. Does not match any other area other than power.
“People might think because of Fabio’s struggle that does not belong there. He belongs there. He is very strong and he has a great team,” Sánchez said about Adeleye. “I know Adam will have it ready. So it is a matter that we are ready too.”
Hrgovic should end this struggle soon if he begins quickly and lands some of the same type of bombs that Dubois struck. Surprisingly, Daniel pulled the Hrgovic shots he made because he recently succumbed to Oleksandr Usyk’s punches.
“It’s all about everyone. He should worry about everyone,” Abel said when he asked if he has any concern about Adeleye’s punch power. “You should be aware, but in the heavy weight division, a punch can change the result so quickly. I would say 99% of heavy weights, a punch can change a fight.”
Adeleye has better power than average, but their skills are subpar. It does not yet have a world class capacity, and it is questionable if he will never do so before his career drops out of drainage. He started late in boxing and was too old to have an amateur career like most sports fighters.
“So we have practiced and trained. We have a good shot. We will hit ourselves because it is part of the game. It’s just a matter of not allowing -going into a pace and not allowing this great shot. But it can hit -and so can Philippar,” Sanchez said.
