A few hours before the proclamation of the Trump’s meeting, Ukraine may have to give way to end the war that began with a full -scale invasion of Russia in February 2022.

Zelensky said that Ukraine “would not give Russia a reward for what it did.”

“The answer to the Ukrainian territorial question is already in the Constitution of Ukraine. Nobody will not deviate from it,” he added.

On Friday, his statement was commented on by Trump in the White House that “there would be some replacement of the territories to improve both.”

“You look at the territory that fought for three and a half years, many Russians have died. Many Ukrainians have died,” the US president said.

He did not submit more information on how any such proposal will look like.

Later, Trump announced a meeting between himself and Putin, saying that there would be the following details. Later the meeting was confirmed by the Kremlin.

Zelensky said on Saturday that Ukraine is ready for “real solutions that can bring peace” but emphasized that Ukraine should be involved.

“Any decisions that are against us, any decisions that are not without Ukraine, simultaneously against peace,” he said.

“We are ready with President Trump together with all partners to work for the real, and most importantly, the lasting peace is a peace that will not collapse from Moscow’s wishes.”
