“It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has died,” said a family representative in a statement to Weekly US On Thursday, August 7. “Brandon battled cancer for more than three years.”
The message noted that the type of cancer that Blackstock did not disclose, noted that Blackstock was “peacefully died” and was “surrounded by a family.”
“We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family privacy during this very difficult time,” the statement concluded.

One day before Blackstock’s death, Clarkson, 43, divided in a statement she had Defer her Las Vegas residency.
“Unfortunately, I need to postpone the rest of the August Studio session dates in Las Vegas,” wrote Clarkson through Instagram on Wednesday, August 6.

Clarkson – and his former manager was Brandon’s father, Narvel Blackstock – And Brandon started dating in 2012 before tying the knot the following year.
