Ex-Subpers-Affairs Ding Cain announced that he plans to join the US immigration and customs agency known as ICE.
In an interview on Wednesday, Cain, already called for law enforcement officer, said: “I will swear as soon as possible.”
He comes after he has released a video that encourages public members to join the work of an agency behind the Trump administration deportation scheme.
Cain played the role of Superman from 1993 to 1997 in the series “LIS & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman”.
He continued to star in a number of other films and television programs and also directed.
At the end of July, Ice announced that it seeks to gain additional 10,000 new staff, double the number of agency when it increases deportations across the country.
Specifically, he hopes to gain deportation staff, as well as lawyers, criminal investigators, students of students and other roles.
Speaking at Fox News on Wednesday, Cain said: “I posted a video for work yesterday – I actually sworn the deputy sheriff and the reserve police – I was not a participant of the ice, but as soon as I laid it there, and you put a small blur on my show, it’s crazy.”
“So now I was talking to some officials on ICE, and I will swear as an ice agent as soon as possible.”
“People have to strengthen. I rise. Hopefully a bunch of other ex -officers, former ice agents will fit, and we will immediately meet these goals, and we will help protect this country,” Cain added.
BBC NEWS contacted the Internal Security Department (DHS) for comments.
US President Donald Trump has promised to increase the pace of deportations from the United States to one million a year.
Part of these efforts has provided an increase in immigration raids since Trump became president.
They caused protests in the US cities, and critics call raids illegal.
On July 29, Ice announced that it offers a set of up to $ 50,000 (37,700 pounds) and assistance to Americans interested in assistance in Trump’s deportation.
As part of the recruitment, DHS presented posters similar to those used during World War II, with the words “America needs you” and “Protect Homeland” with the images of Uncle Sam, US President Donald Trump, Internal Security Secretary Christie Noah and other officials.
By Wednesday, the agency said it had received more than 80,000 entrants per 10,000 positions. Speaking at Fox News, Nom said they had removed age restrictions for how the applicants could be.
Currently, Ice has 20,000 employees and staff who are distributed across the country in 400 offices.
The recruitment set comes only a few weeks after Trump has signed his law on the law.
The bill includes more than $ 76 billion, allocated to ICE – almost 10 times more than previously received – and made it the highest financing of the federal law enforcement body.
