Brendan Taylor, a veteran that Wicketkeeper, returned to Zimbabwe Testing Team during the second test against New Zealand, after a four -year absence due to a CPI ban. Taylor recorded his name for Longvity Discos books, with his first international party for Zimbabwe since 2021.
Brendan Taylor returned to the Zimbabwe test after completing a three and a half years ban imposed by the ICC for breaching anti-corruption and anti-doping rules. He had accepted money and gifts from a businessman and did not report on time focus on a trip to India in 2019.
Taylor last played in Zimbabwe in September 2021, with its final test appearance against Bangladesh in July 2021. After the end of its ban, it was made available to the selection for Zimbabwe, who currently travels the ongoing series against New Zealand 1-0.

Zimbabwe’s batter debuted against Sri Lanka in Haare and now plays the 35th test of his career. Among the cricketers since 1989, only Sachin Tendulkar has had a longer test career, playing for more than 24 years.
“He (Brendan Taylor) has contributed a lot of calmness, he was with the boys in the first test and has been bright around the show,” Ervine told The Toss.

Brendan Taylor is about to join -A group of elite in Zimbabwe cricket. It needs only 62 runs to reach the milestone of 10,000 in Cricket International. Taylor has scored 9,938 runs of 284 games, including 2,320 in tests, 6,684 in hate, and 934 at T20is, with 17 centuries and 57 fifty.
Taylor could only become the third Zimbabwe player to exceed 10,000 runs. Andy Flower (11,580 runs) and Grant Flower (10,028) are the only players who succeed. It is fourth place among Zimbabwe Batters in Test Cricket, behind Andy Flower, which leads with 4,794 rolled at an average of 51.54.
