In an impressive display of bowling prowess, Kagiso Rabada produced a remarkable delivery to dismiss Jonny Bairstow during the fourth game of the SA20 2025 Saturday, January 11. The match, held at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, saw Rabada’s exceptional skill on full display as he edged the England star with a perfectly executed leg-cutter.
It all happened in the 12th inning for the Joburg Super Kings. Rabada bowled a brilliant leg-cutter that landed perfectly and cut sharply, leaving Bairstow in all sorts of trouble. The batsman squared off as the ball swerved just past his defenses and crashed into the stumps.
Rabada’s delivery was a masterpiece: quick, deceptive and unplayable. Bairstow, who was on 14 off 14 balls with a four and a six, was left undone by the sheer quality of the delivery.
After the dismissal, Rabada celebrated with his characteristic intensity, pumping his fists in the air as he acknowledged the cheers of the crowd.

Talking about the match result, Joburg Super Kings registered a thrilling six-run win over MI Cape Town using the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method in a rain-affected encounter. The match was interrupted several times by rain, eventually reducing MI Cape Town’s chase to 136 runs in 19 overs. However, persistent showers halted play at 82/3 after 11.3 overs, putting JSK ahead by six runs in the DLS calculations and ensuring them victory.
Leus du Plooy (24*) and Wihan Lubbe (0*) were on the wing when play was suspended. Earlier, captain Faf du Plessis laid a solid foundation with a 23-ball 30-run knock before being caught brilliantly by Dewald Brevis.
Rabada impressed for MI Cape Town, taking 2/10 in a fiery spell of 2.3 overs.
