James Woods’ home survived the California wildfires; Jennifer Garner, Molly Sims also among the houses of celebrities took pity

James Woods was among the celebrities whose homes were spared from the destruction of the fires in California.

Although the actor initially feared his home had burned down in the flames that swept through Los Angeles’ Pacific Palisades neighborhood on Tuesday, Woods shared positive news when he returned to the property after being evacuated.

“A miracle happened,” Woods wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, along with a video of the view from his deck.

“We managed to get to our property and our house, which we were told was gone forever, is still standing. “Standing” is relative in this hellish landscape, but the smoke and other damage is nothing like the total destruction around us.”

In the clip shared by Woods, he pointed the camera at “everything below us” to show the scorched earth and buildings reduced to rubble as plumes of smoke continued to rise in the distance.

“This is Paly High School,” he said as he removed debris from the charter school’s campus.

“This is our neighbor’s house,” Woods said, zooming in on the heavily damaged house.

The video continued as Woods filmed the young man pouring water on bushes and wood siding.

“Francis, whose father we rescued, is now putting out fires on our slope,” he said. In a previous post, X Woods described how he helped organize the evacuation of an elderly neighbor.

Woods gave his viewers a 360-degree view of the destruction before zooming in on his neighbor’s house again.

“Gosh, look at that,” Woods said. – My God.

In a follow-up message, Woods thanked his fans for their support.

“So many beautiful messages from all of you,” he said. “I’m very happy and grateful, but to be honest, this whole area looks like the dark side of the moon.

“It’s so overwhelming and upsetting that it’s almost hard to celebrate the good news that our home survived.”

In addition to Woods, a number of other stars revealed that their homes were spared from the devastating wildfires.

Jennifer Garner confirmed that her home survived the Palisades fire when she returned to her neighborhood in Pacific Palisades to volunteer.

During an interview with MSNBC on Friday, the actress stood amid the rubble, reflecting on the devastation.

“My heart bleeds for my friends,” Garner said. “I mean, I can think of 100 families and there are 5,000 lost homes. I can—even (without thinking)—I could just write a list of 100 friends who lost their homes.

“I feel almost guilty walking through my house,” she added. “You know what I can do? How can I help? What can I offer? What can I offer with these arms and these walls and the security I have?”

The pupil “Nickname” broke down in tears when she told that one of her friends had died in a forest fire.

“I did lose a friend and it’s very tender for our church. So I don’t feel like we have to talk about it,” Garner said. “I lost a friend. She didn’t leave on time.”

Molly Sims

Molly Sims a home in Pacific Palisades was also still standing after wildfires swept through the area.

The actress shared a carousel of images on Instagram showing the fires and their aftermath, writing “Our house is fine now.”

“I say this with a heavy heart, knowing that many cannot say the same,” she continued. “Our sweet community has been through the UNIMAGINABLE and my heart is broken. Entire neighborhoods, homes, schools, playgrounds, restaurants—places that held memories, laughter, and much of what made us who we are—gone. lost everything. I can hardly put into words the pain and devastation that surrounds us.’

Sims was amazed at the solidarity she saw in the community and praised the first responders.

“However, in the midst of this heartache, I am truly in awe of the strength and unity that has emerged,” she wrote. “People are coming together in ways I never thought possible – helping the shelter and looking out for each other, offering support even when the weight of it all seems overwhelming.

“The FIRST RESPONDERS and FIREFIGHTERS who work tirelessly 24/7 even when they are stressed are heroes. Their dedication saves lives and their courage is immeasurable. Please know they did EVERYTHING they could, we ran out of water .

Steve Gutenberg revealed that his house was spared as he drove around the aftermath of the Palisades fire.

During the interview with Associated Pressthe actor shared that he had mixed feelings about how his home had survived while so many others’ properties had been destroyed.

“I woke up this morning and was really aware of my mental state and my mental health because I’ve seen so much tragedy in the last three days,” Guttenberg said. He said his house has electricity but no water.

Gutenberg thanked God his neighborhood was safe, but he said about 20 homes were burned “pretty badly” in his community of 80 after winds swept through Los Angeles, destroying homes and clogging roads as tens of thousands fled .

He told the AP that the fire was the worst he had ever seen in his life. Gutenberg returned to his area to help others who remained with relief efforts. The “Police Academy” star helped move cars to clear the street, handed out food and helped neighbors get out of their homes.

“I saw people scared, people in wheelchairs, mothers and fathers trying to find their children, people suffering from anxiety and panic attacks,” Guttenberg said.

“All those houses burned down behind me where their families were enjoying a wonderful time with their friends and family,” he added. “It’s really a lot of pain right now. I’m doing everything I can to ease it.”

Guttenberg said he wasn’t sure how the film and television industry would be able to help at the start of awards season.

“Everybody will do what normal people do — help each other, give each other food and water, help each other in backyards, in backyards,” he said. “Despite the fact that someone is an actor, producer, writer, director, we are all just people… Maybe people can donate to some fund at one point. But I just think it’s time to be a good neighbor.”

Bill Hader The house was one of the few houses on his street that escaped destruction in the Palisade Fire.

On Saturday, a representative for the actor confirmed to Fox News Digital that the actor’s property is “safe and sound.”

“Bill is very appreciative of the efforts of the LAFD (Los Angeles Fire Department),” added Hader’s spokesperson.

Hader, meanwhile, surprised a local television crew when he returned to his home in Pacific Palisades on Thursday and offered to help the crew cover the wildfires.

Josh Haskell, a reporter for ABC7’s Los Angeles affiliate, posted the message Khader’s photo on X and talked about the clash between the film crew and the comedian.

In the image, Hader was seen wearing a face mask while displaying a peace sign on top of a news van. Many Los Angeles residents have begun wearing face masks to protect themselves amid dangerous levels of smoke and poor air quality from the ongoing fires.

“Just a moment in Los Angeles Thursday at the road block for the #PalisadesFire,” Haskell wrote. “The resident trying to gain access approached the news van as if he was part of our team, wanted to help cover, go with us. Then he took off his mask, smiled, and it was Bill Hader!”

“Couldn’t have been better,” Haskell added of the actor.
