Manchester United Ombudsman Leny Yoro has a cry of rally before the new season, declaring that the team is determined to bounce after supporting their worst league campaign for more than half a century.
15th place in the United States last season was the lowest flight result since its relegation to the Second Division in 1974.
It was a forceful year for a club of its stature, and the new CAP Ruben Amorim is under pressure to make the boat.
Yoro, who has fought with injuries since his move to Old Trafford last summer, spoke candidate on the pain of last season and the renewed motivation of the squad.
“When you play Manchester United, you must have the mentality of being the best version of yourself,” Yoro said.
“I think what we did last season was a mistake for us. When you are Manchester United, you can’t be in this position. The fans know it, everyone knows it. I think we understand it.
“This season will be different for us. It will be like a revenge last season. We have to do it better.”
The United States preseason tour of the United States provided some optimism, and the team was unbeaten among friends against West Ham, Bournemouth and Everton.
The Laminian squad has returned to Manchester to finish the preparations before its Premier League workshop at Arsenal’s house on August 17.
The club has also invested a lot this summer, with more than 130 million pounds spent to attack the duo Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.
But with this expense, scrutiny occurs, and it is likely that Amorim has significant pressure if the results do not improve quickly.
Yoro, however, remains challenging in the face of external criticism and believes that the team is mentally prepared to climb over the noise.
“We are a big club,” said Yoro. “There are a lot of people who want us to fail and know it. But there are also many people who want to do it, to do great things. We only focus on fans, you know.
“We don’t mind what they say outside, by the media, everyone said last year’s bulls.
“But I understand it because we haven’t done very well. This season it will be different, I hope for us. We don’t need to hear -and be focused on ourselves.”
