Zoo Aalborg asks unwanted pets to feed its predators

The Zoo in Denmark appealed to the public to donate its healthy unwanted pets as part of a unique effort to provide food for their predators.

The Aalborg Zoo asked for donations from live chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs, which, he said, “gently strewn” prepared by employees.

The zoo also accepts the donations of live horses – owners can use the potential tax benefits.

The zoo states that the food provided in this way, “reminds that, naturally, hunting the wild,” and that this is especially relevant for the Eurasian lynx.

Other predators stored in the zoo include lions and tigers.

Small animals can be sacrificed on weekdays, no more than four at the same time without meeting.

On its site, under the image of a tiger that devour a slice of meat, the Aalborg Zoo teaches the conditions for the donation of horses.

To be eligible, they must have a passport on a horse and cannot be treated for the disease within the previous 30 days.

If they are successful in transferring their animals, horses can get a tax deduction.

In his statement, the Zoo Deputy Director Pius Nielsen said the predatory zoo was fed a smaller animal for many years.

“When maintaining predators, it is necessary to provide them with meat, preferably with fur, bones, etc. to give them as much a natural diet,” she explained.
