Tycoon Ong Beng Seng pleads guilty to corruption

Singapore Hotel Millder asked The guilty of one charge related to the rare corruption scandal that shocked the country last year.

Ong Ben Seng is accused of providing expensive gifts, including tickets for the Formula 1 Grand Prix and a private plane to the Minister of Subbramaniam, when they were engaged in official business.

On Monday, Ong pleaded guilty for the obstacles of justice, helping the Everan to pay the Grand -at Singapore for a Business Ticket from Doha to Singapore.

Born in Malaysia in 1946, Ong moved to Singapore as a child and founded the company’s hotel and property in the 1980s.

ONG has rare bone marrow cancer, and the court has previously allowed it to go abroad for medical and work purposes.

Hotel Properties Limited Earlier in April stated that ONG would go away as its head director “manages his medical conditions”.
