Jamie Roy and Harriet Slater takes on the role of Jamie Fraser’s parents in the new Outlander prequel, Outlander: The blood of my blood – So how well do they know their son on screen?
Roy, 32, and Slater, 30, do not actually interact with Jamie (Sam Hehan) On the new Starz series (since it happened before he was born), but the actors made their homework.
“Both of us started watching (Outlander) When we got the audition, ”Slater said Weekly US During an interview in conjunction with Roy.
“(Finishing binge drinking) is a badge we wear with pride,” he said. “We are the only cast members who have watched it all.”
In the video above, Weekly US It was proven how well the Costars paid attention in a game of trivial regarding Jamie-and a ruined warning, they obviously took notes!
Outlander: The blood of my blood Premieres on Starz Friday, August 8, at 8 pm et. Watch Slater and Roy play Trivia above or keep reading for more of what to expect from the new series:
Did you have any hesitation about joining a side effect?
HS: You don’t need to have seen Outlander to watch, understand and enjoy. But if you’re a fan, there’s a lot in there-
JR: So many Easter eggs.
Jamie, did you study Sam’s customs to prepare?
JR: I wanted Brian to be his own thing. But someone came to me within the first weeks of shooting and said, “I see you doing the same thing Sam does with your hands.” Apparently, the way we move our heads is quite similar too. The first time I met him, we sat outside a coffee shop in Glasgow, and within a few minutes, I really thought, “Oh, yes, I can see what everyone is talking about.”
How would you describe Ellen and Brian’s love story? Romeo and juliet?
HS: That’s a good comparison. It’s a banned girlfriend. They come from competitive families. They know they shouldn’t be together, but they have to be. Even the moment we meet maybe a little inspired by Romeo and Juliet when they’ve just got a glimpse of each other – it reminded me of the fish tank scene (in 1996’s William Shakespeare 1996 Romeo + juliet).
JR: It’s a romance you’re ready to take the whole about it. It is literally life or death.
We were happy to see more kilns!
JR: Every morning, a wearer would come in and wrap you like a little burrito while you’re on the floor. It’s extremely humble, but you get over it quickly, and helps create this beautiful friendship.
Harriet, how was your outfits?
HS: They are made of wool a lot of the time. It’s not great when it rains’ because they get so heavy – just drenching. I remember this same scene, Séamus (McLean Ross) He pressed over and gone, “You smell like a horse.” (Laughs) I thought it was joking. Then I got back to my trailer and I was like, “Whoa, I really do.”
