YouTube now knows if you’re dumb

YouTube recently announced that it will implement a new type of age identification driven by AI, and you will not need to give her any information to tell him how old you are. They can tell your age without asking by observing patterns when using the internet.

On the surface, this is a good thing because the reality is that there has never been meaningful age filtering on the internet. Probably why most modern children now look and act as traumatized, die-brain zombies. That’s what watching snision videos at the age of eight will do for you.

If you think age is the only thing that our internet lords know about you, just by watching your click history, you haven’t been paying attention. We go into a world where technology companies know everything about every user on their platform, whether that user was revealing it or not. They know things you don’t know about yourself.

You can make many dystopian projections about where this will lead, but I’m not sure it will be a bad thing.

In case YoutubeYou can bet they are already using that data to curate your video feed. They know your IQ score and will likely start feeding content for you that is specifically designed to appeal to your level of intelligence.

This probably explains a huge, huge promotion of a very, very low AI effort on the platform. YouTube now knows that most of you are dumbasses, so it gives you the kind of dumbass content like you’ve ever wanted.

In the meantime, people with the intelligence to enjoy something other than the ingestion of an internet slope will get that higher quality content without having to sort all the junk Slopes Like to ingest. Whether there are enough clever people to make creating high quality economically content is the question yet to be answered.

The biggest disadvantage here is that the mute is going to get a dumber alone. But the surface may be upside down becoming wiser than ever. Or we may all live in some kind of Idiocrism hole hole. Yes, that’s the most likely scenario.
