New Zealand arrested after a two -year -old girl found in luggage

A woman in New Zealand was arrested after a two -year -old girl was found in the luggage when she was traveling on the bus.

Police said Sunday after the passenger asked for access to the luggage compartment, the staff was summoned to a stop in Kaiwak, in a small town in the north.

“The driver was worried when he noticed how the bag was moving. When the driver opened his suitcase, they found a two-year-old girl,” the New Zealand police said.

A 27-year-old woman was arrested and charged with severe childcare.

“It was reported that the girl was very hot, but otherwise it turned out to be physically intact,” the police said.

She was taken to the hospital where she was being medical, they added.

The relationship between a woman and a child is not revealed.

On Monday, the woman should appear in the North Bank district court.

“We would like to admit and thank the bus driver who noticed that something was not right and took immediate action, preventing what could have been a much worse result,” the police said.
