“The number 1 thing we are trying to build in the writers’ room is a compelling case that will also be truly lovely to watch Morgan’s complex brain take you through,” he explained at the time. “That is then praised by these amazing detectives around it. We know the audience – and we as the writers have a great desire for that serial mystery.
Harthan continued: “Finding that balance is difficult which is why you have staff of people who come in and keep you honest. They tell me, ‘If we reveal that, then it overtakes the next episode and increases the balance.’ So it’s difficult and is one of the harder parts of building every chapter of the show.

“I think we’ll probably see more of that in crossed – season 2. We’ll dig more into that. There will be a behind -the -scenes glimpse of Karadec outside the workplace,” the actor divided in November 2024. “What is his life out of the center. They probably get more into that during season 2.”

Why are you worried about this particular case or how it echoes not only Morgan but all character,” Harthan continued. “It ensures that we do not get lazy with those stories we choose to tell every week. I try to look at each episode as its own little film, and this year we have the luxury of the lessons we learned – good and bad – and plan and conspiring the season so that we do not waste any of these chapters. However, they will only be treated.”
High potential It is not just about Morgan career but her home life too. As Morgan’s search for a Roman continues, so do she moments between her and her children – including Ava’s daughter.
“Roman is an important and incredibly important piece of casting. I fantased for who it might be but I have not zered in a person yet,” Harthan told us. “Just the casting opportunities – not only for guest star roles – but circular roles. We’ve never met Morgan’s mother and father either. We’ve not met anyone.”
The same as Ava, Morgan’s son Elliot will play a big part in season 2.
Howey joined the crime drama in June 2025 as a regular series. He will play the Centre’s new captain, Jesse Wagner, who is described as “a keen political animal that knows how to wear an expensive suit and flows an effortless charm.”
According to the official description, Jesse is “a guy who can launch a million fundraisers with his smile, he has a harassment of harasser and likes to think outside the box just like their All-Star Morgan consultant. He has a way of redressing himself in the middle of the action … whether he wants there or not.”

That’s not the show.”
