Jerusalem Zoo that killed the tiger

A zoo worker in Jerusalem died after the tiger attack, who escaped from his corps.

Uriel Nuri died of the injuries he received during the “behind -the -scenes tour” for visitors on Friday morning, said Jerusalem biblical zoo.

The zoo said he was working with Israeli police to investigate how a large cat escaped into the yard where a 36-year-old boy worked.

Now the site is closed for visitors.

Mr. Nuri was sent to the trauma department at the Hadasa-Ene Kerem University Hospital for urgent treatment after heavy injuries over the upper body.

“After prolonged resuscitation, the team was forced to declare it dead,” said Hadasa Medical Center.

“At this difficult time, the hospital staff accompany their family and shares in their grief.”

The biblical zoo, located in the southwest of Jerusalem, says on his site that he demonstrates a critical tiger tiger.

Mr. Nuri was the head of the predatory team, his Instagram page, where he posted a video about his work.

In his statement, the zoo said: “The tragic event happened this morning, when during the usual tigers’ preparation activities for enrichment, which took place as part of the behind -the -scenes excursion for visitors at the zoo, the tiger managed to escape from the tiger building into the internal course and attack one of the staff at the zoo.

“By no means was the physical danger to the visitors who stood behind the glass window.

“With the help of Israeli police, we conduct a comprehensive investigation to understand how the tiger managed to escape into the yard.”

The Israeli newspaper Haarets reported that the zoo was investigating whether the cell door has become.

The zoo added that “the pain is huge” and “our hearts come to the Uriel family.”

Last year, the crocodile was shot after he bit his worker, leaving her with serious wounds that required treatment at the hospital.

In the zoo, 62 acres live dozens of animal species. As the name implies, its special attention is paid to the animals that appear in the Bible, as well as the disappearing views from all over the world.
