Catherine Blair Bowmanthe wife of a former bassist 5 Bassydd Mickey madden. accused her husband of physically assaulting her after she faced him for “sexting teenage girls.”
According to court documents filed on Wednesday, July 30 at the Superior Court of Los Angeles County and obtained by several outlets, Bowman is seeking a preventative order against Madden, 46. Bowman claimed to have allegedly assaulted her on July 21 at their home in Los Angeles during collision over the messages. (Tmz was the first to report the claims.)
By filing the court, Bowman claimed she was “intimidated” when Madden became “mad” after she faced him over the texts, which she claims to include “Secreting teenagers for her rape fantasy and requesting indecent images.”
“I am completely traumatized by the discovery that the respondent has been involved in behavior with probably criminal high school girls,” wrote Bowman in the court document, the Weather. “When I discovered this, I approached him about him and said I knew what was happening. Then the respondent beat me physically over and over again.”
Mickey Madden of Maroon 5 was arrested following allegations of domestic violence on Saturday, June 27. Bowman accused Madden of moving him to a kitchen counter as well as persecuting him outside her home and pushing it into a gate.
“He put his two arms around my body around my abdomen and arms to curb me. Then he slammed my body against the marble kitchen counter,” he wrote in court documents. “I felt pain in the area of my hook and a press. He moved me to the ground and was out of his mind. I landed on my knees. He caught screaming for me to give him the phone. It seemed literally crazy to me. I had never seen such an unruly anger and a completely different person.”
Per court filing quoted by People, Bowman discovered the alleged texts after being warned by a teenager who informed Bowman of the texts she had received from Madden.

I needed to understand what was happening between them,” read Bowman’s statement. “When he denied, I asked him to give me his phone. He wouldn’t give me his phone, but I could see that he quickly deleted the evidence from his phone.”
By reports, text messages were submitted as part of the court filing including an exchange where Madden described the sexting as “private and fake fantasy” and insisted that the text had “no effect on real life at all.”

In a text exchange submitted, Madden allegedly sent Bowman a text: “I’m sorry for my actions and for taking part in any kind of expression of those stimuli. It is totally unacceptable. But I have to draw the line to that characterization of what I did .. This was completely released to a text.
People reported that Bowman also accused a madden of “physical” mistrust at a separate incident that it allegedly happened on May 14.
Judge issued a suspension order in place until a court date scheduled from Aug. 20. Madden, who played a bass for Maroon 5 between 1994 and 2020Currently at a rehabilitation facility according to court documents.
