US President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Thursday, which confirmed the “return” tariffs for dozens of countries, and updated duties accounting for 10% to 41%.
All goods that are considered covered to avoid suitable duties will obey additional tariffs by 40%, According to the White House.
Countries that are not listed in the last order threaten an additional duty of 10%, the order said. The updated directive changes the tariffs imposed in accordance with the previous executive order issued in April.
Changed tariffs will be effective against goods “made for consumption at 12:01 in the east daylight 7 days after the order date”, with some exceptions.
According to the executive order, trading partners who have reached either before reaching trade and security agreements will be submitted to the changed tariffs until these agreements are completed.
Trump followed his plan to raise tariffs for Canada to 35% from 25%, starting from Friday, banning goods that extend to the US-Mexico-Konad Free Trade Covenant, which he signed during his first term.
