The Massive Saga of Macross is finally coming to Disney+ and Hulu next week

[ad_1]

Last year, Macross should land on Disney+ as part of an effort to bring the franchise outside of Japan, specifically the West. At the time, this was a big deal ever since the various companies in the control of it and its western equivalent Robotech they came to an agreement after spending years not being on the best of terms. For whatever reason, the jump to Disney + did not seem to happen in 2024 as planned, but now it seems that it will actually happen in the next few days.

According to a tip provided to Anime News Network16 of the 18 Macross Anime shows and movies arrive on Disney + and Hulu in the United States this Monday, January 13. It seems the time off hasn’t solved the franchise’s weird problems here in the West: when Macross it arrives, no Super Dimension Fortress Macross and its film version, Do you remember love? it will be on Disney+ or Hulu. They are two very key parts of the whole enterprise, but their Harmony Gold license prevents them from being broadcast worldwide outside of Japan.

So the full list of Macross Monday’s media hits are as follows:

  • Macross Zero
  • Macross 7
  • Macross 7: The Galaxy is Calling!
  • Macross Fb7 Listen to my song!
  • Macross Frontier
  • Macross Fronter: The False Songstress
  • Macross Fronter: Wings of Farewell
  • Macross Fronter: Labyrinth of Time
  • Macross Dynamite 7
  • Macross Delta the Movie: Passionate Valkyrie
  • Macross Delta: Absolute Live!!!!!!
  • Macross Plus
  • Macross Plus Movie Edition
  • Gekijō Tanpen Macross Frontier Toki no Meikyū
  • The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Flash Back 2012
  • The Super Dimension Fortress Macross II: Lovers, Again

It may be incomplete, but it is still not a bad amount Macross stuff coming to the services. Like last year, we hope that things will work out where the two versions are Super Dimension join the rest of his animated brothers, and the entire franchise is visible in one place.
