The Pakistan National Cricket Team has announced the squad for the upcoming Test series against the West Indies national cricket team. the two teams they will face each other in the two matches that will be played from January 17 to 21 and from January 25 to 29.
Shan Masood will lead the 15-member team while Saud Shakeel will be the vice-captain of the team. Overall, Pakistan national cricket team has made 7 changes in the team from the last test series, which played against South Africa national cricket team.
Sajid Khan, who was the team’s hero in the England series, has been recalled to the side along with mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed. They will form the spin department with left-arm spinner Noman Ali for the two-match series against the West Indies national cricket team.
Opening batsman Imam-ul-Haq, who last played against Australia in 2023, has also been added to the squad for the series along with Mohammad Huraira. They will replace the injured and out of form Saim Ayub Abdullah Shafiq to the team
Aamer JamalMohammad Abbas, Mir Hamza and Naseem Shah have been rested for the series due to workload management. In his place, the Pakistan national cricket team has kept Khurram Shahzad, recalled Mohammad Ali, and included the uncapped Kashif Ali.
Wicketkeeper batsman Haseebullah, who suffered a fractured ligament in his right hand during the Cape Town Test, has been ruled out. He will be replaced by Pakistan U19 and Shaheen captain Rohail Nazir. It will be a great opportunity for young batsmen to make an impact on the international scene and take a big step forward.

The Shan Masood-led team will come into the series on the back of a Test series defeat against the South African national cricket team. They would want to make a strong comeback in the series and win both games, giving their fans something to cheer about.
They won the last Test series at home against the England National Cricket Team by a margin of 2–1. The Shan Masood-led side would like to continue with the same momentum and win the second series at home on the trot. It is expected that they will want to go with the spin-heavy offense. They are expected to play three spinners as they did in the England series.
