Food distribution was announced in advance, like many in front of it, in a message in social media representing the illustration of the smiling Palestinians who receive help boxes.

This time, however, the invitation shared by the Humanitarian Gaza Fund (GHF) was different, which presents illustrations only.

“Tomorrow only women can come and get a food box in our morning distribution in our place in the Saudi District,” GHF said. “Men should avoid the site during this distribution.”

Mary Sheikh al-Eid wanted to feed seven children. Her husband was killed earlier in the war, and the family survived on the lentil soup for three weeks, said Sister Mary Haul, but the last week was a struggle.

“Her children did not tell us,” Haul said at the BBC. “Mary told me she wanted because it was a day for women and the numbers wouldn’t be big.”

The GHF food distribution system was marred almost in the field of chaos and murders because it was implemented in May with Israel and the United States.

Huge crowds are forced to walk long distances in Israeli military zones, introducing fenced areas that are surrounded by private security contractors and Israeli troops. Palestinian men basically take the risk, breaking through to provide a box with food for their family.

For two million gases, there are only four GHF distribution sites, but usually no more than two open any day.

On Thursday, Sisters Mary and Haul started assisting in the Southern Rafa area. As long as they arrived, the scene was already chaos.

“There was a huge crowd of women, and the place seemed not, they could not unload and distribute help,” said Havel. “They started spraying women with peppers, then brought stunning grenades and started throwing them at women to force them back.”

The sisters diverged into the pogrom. Havel’s clothes were full of pepper, so she called her sisters, agreeing to meet at their brother’s house.

Shortly after she called again, to feel that something wasn’t right.

“This time the stranger came up, he told me that the owner of the phone was shot and taken to the Red Cross (Field Hospital),” Havel said.

“I called again, and this time I was told that she had been shot in his head. I ran like crazy and called again, but this time I was told that the owner of this phone was killed.”

Ever since GHF’s assistance system has been created in late May, the UN states that the Israeli military has been killed by more than 1000 Palestinians, trying to get help mainly near GHF distribution, as well as near the UN and other escort help.

On Friday, one former US soldier who worked with GHF said he witnessed Israeli troops and security contractors who fired at the crowds.

Anthony Agillar told the BBC that he had never seen such a level of “cruelty and use of disassembly and unnecessary force against civilian population, unarmed, hungry population.”

Earlier, Israel said his troops released a “warning” and that he was doing “learned lessons”. He accuses Hamas of inciting chaos near assistance points and disputes the number of registered deaths.

Doctors at the Nasser Hospital in Han UNIS have stated after Mary Sheikh al-Eid died of a bullet injury. She is one of two women who were known to be killed on Women’s Day on Thursday.

The BBC also talked to the second woman who was killed, Hadia Abu Anza.

One sister herself, who was with her, said they went to the GHF assistance site when an Israeli tank and troops arrived.

From the distance only meters, the troops fired for the first time when they ordered them to go back, said on Friday.

“We started going back, and then it was hit by a bullet,” she said herself. “They shot her in the neck, and she died immediately.”

“I tried to wear her, and her blood fell on me, the man helped me to transport her to the hospital. The help point was opened as soon as they shot her and they released people.”

In response to the BBC, Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said they “identified the suspects who approached them, threatening the troops” and “fired warnings” at the beginning of Thursday, but added that it did not know about the victims.

It states that shots were released “hundreds of meters” from the place of distribution before hours of work.

By May, UN agencies, other international organizations and charities provided a majority of assistance to the population of 400 distributions throughout the territory.

The introduction of GHF is criticized in the community community as an attempt to undermine the preliminary humanitarian system and increase Israel’s control over the spread of food into gas, forcing people to dangerous military places. The UN refuses to cooperate with the GHF system that calls it unethical.

In recent days, Israel’s control over the supply of food to Gaza has been widely convicted by many European governments and benefits.

Israel says he has submitted a GHF system because Hamas had previously diverted and earned a profit from the system under the leadership of the United Nations, although she did not give evidence to show that it was happening on a systematic basis.

Daily reports of death from malnutrition are collected in gas. Humanitarian officials say the area should be flooded to avoid complete collapse.

According to international law, Israel, as a military power that occupies gas, is obliged to protect civilian life – providing people who can find food to survive. However, Israel accused Hamas and a help agency in the current lack, continuing to maintain the GHF distribution model.

“I pray to God they close, it’s a trap of death,” says Sister Mary Haul. “She went to get food for her children, but returned to the people who wear her body.”
