Federal Judge throws a lawsuit of Trump administration in Illinois

Trump administration’s fight against Democrats -controlled jurisdiction and their sanctuaries hit Friday when a federal judge in Chicago rejected the case by challenging their legitimacy.

Judge Lindsay Jenkins from Northern District Illinois, the president appointed Biden, made a petition for dismissal, deciding that the city’s legal defense orders are not subject to federal mandate.

Trump Justice Department, in February, accused Illinois and Chicago’s city illegally interfering President Donald Trump Repression on illegal immigration because it is aimed at holding mass deportations.

Trump Dodge sues New York for many years of immigration policy

“Determining that the same policy provisions are discrimination or inadmissible regulation will give the final run around the tenth amendment,” the judge writes. “This would allow the Federal Government to govern states under the guise of intergovernmental immunity – the exact type of direct regulation of states banned by a tenth amendment.”

Mayor Johnson warns Trump from deploying federal troops on immigration repression in Chicago

The City Council in Chicago adopted a decree in 2012, which stops urban agencies and staff to join the civil migration service or assistance in the federal authorities in such efforts. In 2017, a similar law, known as the law on trust, was adopted by the Illinois legislative body.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson said he was satisfied with the decision and that the city was safer when the police focus on the needs of the Chikags.

“This resolution confirms what we have long known: that the welcoming city ruling of Chicago is legitimate and supported by public security. The city cannot be forced to cooperate with the ill -advised and inhuman immigration program of the Trump administration,” the statement said.

The Trump administration has sued several jurisdictions on its policy of the sanctuary, including the application against New York. The administration also sued several cities in New Jersey, as well as in Los -Angeles.

The Prosecutor General Pazi said New Yorkers Failing the lawsuit.

“If the New York leaders will not approach the defense of its citizens, we will,” she wrote on X.
