Five people were killed in Russia and Ukraine at night because both sides continue to trade drones.
On Saturday, Ukrainian officials said Russia was released more than 200 drones and nearly 30 missiles, and most were aiming at the Diapropetrovsk, where three people were killed.
In Russia, Governor Rostova said two people were killed in the region after the car caught fire after a Ukrainian strike.
The attacks occurred when both sides gave updates about their hostilities – Russia claimed that it had taken two villages in eastern Ukraine, while the president of the Ukrainian Bladimir Zelensky stated that “the Russian forces” was gradually pushed in the Sumi region.
Zelensky said that Russian strikes also aimed at Kharkiv and Sumi, and added on X that the strikes “could not be left unanswered, and Ukrainian drones provide it.”
He added that the Russian military plots and airports “should see that Russia’s own war is now reflecting them back with real consequences,” and said that the attacks of Ukraine’s drones are “some arguments that are certainly approaching peace.”
Six people were injured as a result of days proportion, the head of the region said. The residential bloc and industrial areas were injured in Dnopra, while the shopping center was beaten in a wider area.
Also on Saturday, the Russian Defense Ministry claimed that his army had captured two villages: let the Greens in the Donetsk and Maliev region in the Dnoprapero region.
In the update X, Zelensky stated that the Ukrainian forces pushed Russian troops back into Sami.
He said: “Although this region remains one of the priority areas of the enemy, our forces invariably block Russian attempts to advance to the Sumi region from the border areas.”
There were reports that the village in the region – Kindrativka – was released from Russian control.
Zelensky added that there were “51 intensive combat interactions” last day in the Pokrovsk Donetsk area, where he stated that troops were defending positions.
Both sides continue to trade drone attacks, after a short third round of ceasefire took place in Istanbul at the beginning of the week.
Ukrainian and Russian delegations met on Wednesday night, but negotiations could not take steps to end the conflict. Both sides accused others of deviating their ideas.
The first two rounds of ceasefire took place in May and June at the request of US President Donald Trump, who repeatedly stated that he wanted to see the end of a “horrible, bloody war”, which was caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
