Idaho University murder victim Kayleee goncalves‘Sister Alivea Goncalves described what it was like to face with a murderer Bryan Kohberger in sentencing hear.

Alivea and her father, Steve GoncalvesBoth faced Kohberger directly as they read their victims impact statements. Before Alivea took the stand, Steve moved the podium so he could directly address Kohberger during his speech.
“I wanted to maintain that eye contact as much as I could possibly, and when I tell you, there is no human being there,” Alivea described facing his sister’s murderer. “I am not afraid of this person. I am not intimidated by it. … The best description I can give you, as, if I had come face to face with an alien.
According to Alivea, she felt that “raw anger” and “raw rabies” were in the eyes of Kohberger as she addressed it. Eventually, though, she was there for justice to her sister Kaylee and Mogen, who was Kaylee’s best friend.
A GAG order on the Idaho University case has been raised following the sentencing of Bryan Kohberger – and more details about the murders are being revealed. “I could feel that particular gaze all the time. He was unwind. All I remember feeling is,“ This guy is pissed. This is anger that I have never experienced directly before, ‘”he said.
Alivea continued, “I was ready to stand on business. There was nothing that was going to make me back down from that moment. All I felt was rabies, almost from the outset.”
“All my purpose of that speech was to take this power back and give it back to Kaylee and Maddie. Xana and Ethan too. I wanted to give them a hero moment that I really feel like they deserve it,” Alivea said for her statement.
He added, “For me, it was about taking that control back from him … getting under his skin, best as I could psychologically with my limited understanding of what it is. It was all really. It was all incredibly true. Everything I said was right to who it is and who they were.”
In terms of her closing attention during her statement, she said to Entin, “I really believe that Kayleee would have kicked her ass.”
