Seema reveals – to the surprise of Carrie – Aidan was asking for Duncan at the opening of Charlotte’s recent Gallery. “I hope it’s a blip, do you know?” Carrie says. “Anyway, I’m too happy that he is finally here to raise the past and throw a wet blanket on everything.”

When she returns from the writing session, Aidan’s steaks are still on the counter – not cooked. Carrie finds him in bed and tries to cuddle with him, but Aidan seizes, “Get away from me. You smell like smoke. Go take a shower.” They spend the night in separate rooms.

In the morning, things warm even more. Carrie accuses Aidan of “waiting” for Duncan outside of purpose. “You care about me another man, that’s the essence of all the neighbors business,” he said, after Aidan called “bulls ***.”
