Israeli and US negotiators decided to leave the ceasefire negotiations in the capital of Qatar Doha, and Washington accused Hamas of not “in good faith”.
In his statement, the US Special Envoy Steve Witcoof said: “We decided to bring our team from Doha to consult after the last response from Hamas, which obviously shows the lack of desire to get to the ceasefire.”
The Israeli government did not say that it caused its removal, but a high -ranking Israeli official quoted in local media, stating that there was no collapse in the negotiations.
Hamas stated that this surprised Vitcof’s comments and seeking to continue negotiations.
All parties participating in the negotiations – including mediators – admit that wide gaps remain on key issues.
A statement on Thursday Vitkoff said “while the mediators made great efforts, Hamas seems not coordinated and is not in good faith.”
“We will now look at alternative options to bring hostages home and try to create a more stable environment for gas residents.
“It is a shame that Hamas acted in such a selfish way. We strongly seek to end this conflict and constant rest in the newspaper.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu still publicly commented on why Israeli negotiators leave Doh.
But the high -ranking Israeli official – speaking on the condition of anonymity – insisted on the fact that the negotiations “do not collapse”, reports The Times of Israel.
The official criticized the “deviation and unhappy approach” by Hamas, adding that “we reached the stage when we really need to return, and return here as soon as the right way to reduce the gaps and reach the closure phase.”
In the statement at the beginning of Friday, Hamas: “The movement confirms its seeking to continue negotiations and participate in them in such a way that it helps to overcome obstacles and leads to a permanent ceasefire agreement.”
The last round of negotiations in Doha – with the mediators of Qatar and Egypt – has been going on for more than two weeks.
Earlier, on Thursday, the Palestinian Agency for Palestinian refugee refugees (ARR) said that every fifth children in Gaza was now under -laid, and cases increased every day.
More than 100 international assistance organizations and human rights groups have also warned about mass fasting – pressing governments to take action.
Israel, which controls the entry of all supplies to the gas, has repeatedly stated that there is no siege, blaming Hamas in any case of malnutrition.
In early March, Israel stopped supplying Gaza Wednesday after a two -month ceasefire. The blockade was partially weakened after almost two months, but the deficiency of food, fuel and medicine deteriorated.
According to the UN Human Rights, the Israeli military has killed more than 1,000 Palestinians trying to get food assistance over the last two months.
It states that at least 766 of them were killed in the immediate vicinity of one of the four distributed GHF centers that are governed by US private contractors and are in Israeli military zones.
Another 288 people were killed near the UN and other escorts.
Israel accused Hamas of inciting chaos near assistance sites. It states that his troops were only shot by warning shots, and they deliberately do not shoot the civilians.
The Israeli military launched a campaign in Gaza in response to the attack under the guidance of Hamas on South Israel on October 7, 2023, which killed about 1,200 people and took 251 people hostage.
At least 59106 people have been killed in Gaza since then, according to the Ministry of Health in the field of health in the territory.
