The Riyadh and Sela season have no interest in organizing a clash between heavyweight undisputed champion, Oleksandr Usyk and his mandatory Wbo Challenge, Joseph Parker.
Ring Magazine indicated X This Riyadh and Sela season have no interest in the struggle of Usyk-Parker. It is understandable why they would not want to finance this struggle. Fanatics’ interest would be low, as Parker (36-3, 24 kos) is not popular and does not have a world title to make it an attractive option.
Best options for the next usyk struggle
With Usyk’s latest career struggle before retiring, it would be a massive fall that fans had Parker as a shipment. There would be no rhythm for such a struggle. Parker is not charismatic and it would be a job to promote such a struggle.
New Zealand, Joseph, would be a drag in promotion, dead weight, not helping to create demand for struggle worldwide. It would be a nightmare for promoters to artificially make a narrative to sell the usyk-parker struggle in PPV. I don’t see how they could sell it.
His style of struggle has become a style of movement similar to Shakur, feats and a lot of hitting. It is not exciting enough to overcome your unmatched personality. For some, listening to Parker’s interviews is difficult to sit unwittingly click on something more attractive.
Usyk Trilogy: The best fury option
What Usyk needs is a fury trilogy. It would be a better option than Moses Ituma because he can talk, and fans worldwide know with him. Its promoter has been carefully matched and still has to fight anyone at the first level. If Fury may lose weight and find some credible excuses why he lost the last two fights against Usyk, a trilogy could bring some decent PPV numbers.
