Dakota and Elle shared their excitement about work together on the movie in July 2025.
“The Nightingale will be the first time we have acted on screen together. We’ve played the same character at different ages but never spoke to each other in front of a camera. For years, we’ve looked for a movie to do with each other and then this pearl appeared,” they said in a joint statement. “As sisters, sharing our craft together when bringing such a powerful story sister alive is true.
Elle will portray the character Isabelle, while Dakota will play Vianne, by IMDB. They both acted before in 2001 Sam I am But they did not appear on screen together, as they played the younger and older versions of the same character.
