Defense of Callum Smith’s Wbo title against David Morrell ordered by a sanctioning body

Wbo heavy weight champion Callum Smith has been ordered by the sanctioning body to defend the belt against David Morrell’s number 3. It is not the struggle that Callum (31-2, 22 kos) expected to achieve it. The struggle is heading to the Ring IV event on November 22 in Riyadh.

Smith has been waiting for his title of legitimate title against the WBO champion of 175 LB. However, Bivol plans to fight a trilogy match against Artur Beeterbiev.

Wbo Mandes Morrell Fight

It Ring Magazine Report the news of Smith vs. Morrell that orders the World Boxing Organization. Put Callum in a hard position where he or she accepts the fight or reject it, which would lead him to be stripped of Wbo’s temporary belt. It needs this title to get a worldwide shot against the winner of Bivol-Beeterbiev 3.

It is a rarity that the temporary champions are ordered to defend the belts, as they are designed to own while a champion is busy with unification or injured. None of these things apply to Wbo Bivol champion.

Interestingly, WBO will allow Bivol to fight Beterbiev instead of Smith. Beeterbiev is not champion and Bivol is not injured. Therefore, he should defend -s against Smith.

If Morrell, 27, performs the way he did in his last fight against Imam Khataev on July 12, Callum has an excellent chance to win. Cuban Morrell does not constantly struggle enough to predict it against an experienced fighter as Smith.

When Morrell attacked Khataev, he was so easy for him. It seemed to be at many levels above the Russian fighter. But then he would stop frequently and sink behind his guard, allowing Khataev to leave him.

David Morrell’s “playful” approach

Morrell had a playful appearance throughout the fight, trying -as if he were scared with a friend who did not want to hurt. You could see how Morrell would hurt Khataev and then again instead of finishing it. It seemed to feel sorry. If this was Morrell’s attitude, the struggle was almost difficult for him.

You could say that Morrell liked Khataev and did not want to do it. He was like a cat playing with a mouse during the second half of the contest. Morrell’s talent was supreme, but he did not want to be closed to finish his job.
