West Ham United has announced the signing of Kyle Walker-Peters with a three-year agreement after its Southampton’s departure.
The 28 -year -old, who has accumulated about 150 appearances in the Premier League and has two senior caps in England, joins Hammers in a free transfer after the expiration of his contract in St Mary’s.
Walker-Peters had been about to join the Besiktas of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but the Turkish club said on Thursday that they were no longer interested after the player delayed his medical interest after West Ham.

“I’m really excited,” said Walker-Petters about the transfer to the London Stadium.
“It feels like it has been a long time, I have been related to a transfer to the club in the past, and I am happy to be here now.
“I talked to (manager) Graham Potter and he was a great and much of me to make the decision. I always liked his style as a coach and I think he will adapt well.
“He talked about the family’s feeling in the club, and that I am. I would like to think that I will be a good way for West Ham United.
“I like playing intensely, giving it all in all games and I want to try to achieve special things here. All teams want to win trophies and West Ham has this ambition. Since talking with Graham, he wants to create something special and, in hope, I can be part of it.”
Potter also expressed his delight for the possibility of working with Walker-Peters, admitting that he has been a fan of the full part for some time.
“We are very pleased that Kyle has agreed to unite us,” Potter said. “He is a player I have always thought and impressed whenever he has faced one of my teams.
“He has a really good pedigree, a senior professional who has settled as a respected Premier League player and still has his best years in front of him.
“It will bring high quality competition to the squad and a good character and personality in the locker room. I really want to work with Kyle, and I think it will be a great complement to the football club.”
Walker-Peters began his career in Tottenham before moving to Southampton on January 2020 before making permanent change that summer.
It made 202 appearances on the Saints, who were relegated to the Premier League after supporting a Torrid time in the first season of last season.
