According to reports, Paul Gascoigne was taken to the hospital on Friday night after collapsing at his house in Poole, Dorset.
The old 58-year-old England was found in a semi-conscious state of his bedroom by the close friend Steve Foster, who quickly acted to attract medical attention.
Initially, Gascoigne was admitted to intensive care before being transferred to an acute medical unit. On Saturday night, its condition had stabilized and was no longer considered immediately.
Foster shared a thank -you message on behalf of the football icon, saying that Gascoigne “would like to thank everyone for the support they have received from so many old friends who wish him and want to see him again.”
He added: “Paul is in the hospital, which is the best place possible for him right now.”
The family members, including the daughter of Gascoigne, Bianca and his two sisters, are informed of his progress.

Some of their former football colleagues (Peter Beardsley, Chris Waddle, Paul Merson and Vinnie Jones) have also been updated in their condition.
Gascoigne is still one of the most beloved football figures in England. It was promoted to national fame during the 1990 World Cup, where its emotional reaction to the departure of the semifinal of England against West Germany affected it to millions.
During a 19 -year play, he won 57 England caps, won a Copa Fa Fawork Tottenham Hotspur and claimed two league titles with Rangers. He gave one of the most iconic goals in English football history in the euro ’96, marking a dazzling solo effort against Scotland.
Despite his brilliance, Gascoigne has been fighting during personal demons during and after his football career. He retired in 2004 and his post-game life has been affected by health and addiction struggles.
