India’s national team captain Rohit Sharma played with an injury to an hamstrings during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 earlier this year. Despite not being completely fit, Rohit Sharma took India to the glory of the title in Dubai.
Former Indian coach Jatin Paranjape revealed that Rohit had been fighting with the theme of hamstrings for almost four to five months. Despite the pain and lack of rest, the experienced Indian workshop continued to play and guide the team as a real leader.

Paranjape added: “I thought I could have played a little more because I was beating magnificently. You know, I would write down 10 or 15 or 20, but that shot of hook, this was its trademark.”
Before winning the 2024 T20 World Cup and the ICC 2025 Champions Trophy, Rohit won the T20 World Cup in 2007 and the 2013 Champions Trophy under the captaincy of Ms. Dhoni. As a captain, Rohit led India to two ICC titles and also guided the Mumbai Indians to five IPL trophies.
