Jodi Huisentrut went on his way to work in the morning of June 27, 1995 when she disappeared. Thirty years later, the sheriff wondered whether the suspected serial killer could be involved.

Degase stressed that he personally thought that the editor was a suspect to look.
“Christopher’s editor died,” Degas said. “He died in my prison. He hanged himself in my prison shortly after I arrested him. So, I didn’t know if they completely released him as a person who is interested in the case (Huisentruit).

“Then the fingerprints were,” she said. “Sometimes this dust of the fingerprints can destroy the ability to get DNA from things. But I think what you have is an opportunity to take advantage of … new testing methods and new ways to potentially look at these evidence.”
And the investigators “very much hope” to find out what happened to Huisentruit, she said.
