At least 14 people were killed in the flood and landslides caused by the days of heavy rains in South Korea, the disaster management reports.

There are concerns that the death toll may increase if the rescue efforts continue, and 12 people who have been reported have disappeared.

Almost 10,000 people evacuated their homes since the rain began on Wednesday, and more than 41,000 households have temporarily lost power, local media reported.

Now the rain has largely subsided in the worst southern and central regions, but more showers are expected in the capital and northern regions.

Thousands of roads and buildings were damaged and immersed, raging with floods, reports of damage to farmland and a broad death of the animal.

Most of the destruction was in the south of the country, six people were killed in Sancheg and seven were missing.

The victims also took place in the northern mountainous region near Seoul, as well as in other western and northern areas.

Serious warnings about landslides were issued in several regions across the country, while the government on Sunday launched efforts to restore several agencies.
