Tracker Is going through a bit of a cast reconfiguration in season 3, but which fan favorite characters are-and which are not?
For Tracker Shown for the first time in February 2024, spectators have become accustomed to watching their favorite fictional Colter Shaw survivor (Justin Hartley) Traveling the country to help solve various cases of missing people with the help of his team: The Velma Handler (Abby McEnany), Hacker Bobby (Eric Graise))) and the Reenie attorney (Fiona rene).
Presume Us‘Surprise when the executive producer Reid’s profit Changes on screen.
“I think it’s evolving. If I can’t evolve those characters – Randy or Reenie or Bobby – they’re not just people who pick up the phone alone and go, ‘Okay, this is the answer.’ That’s when the show calls it in, ”explained to Weekly US in May. “The challenge is when you had to learn about them, which I think was interesting. That’s the challenge of the show is not to get it to a formula.”
Reid noted they didn’t want Tracker to “fall into complacency.”
“The only rule I really have from the show is every week Colter is going to come to a new place and there will be a new case. How it gets those answers and what it uses on the team, it’s all available,” Reid teased. “Meeting these strange (local) characters is something we’re going to try to make more of it as the season goes on. Colter only comes in and interacts with other characters. That’s fun seeing Justin flex those muscles with very good guest cast members.”
Hold to scroll to see which one Tracker Characters return for season 3 – and are not:
There would be nothing Tracker Without Hartley’s characterBut is there a chance that Colter could die later in the series? “I don’t want our congregation to forget that this guy is deadly, he’s not a superhero. He can die!” Hartley said Hollywood reporter in April. “The things he makes are very dangerous.”
Reid expanded to Us A month later, saying, “The physical element is of it. But then there is too – I am
He continued: “Justin always pitches that we see a chapter where Colter is almost dead in the middle of the show and we go back. He has all sorts of crazy ideas, but I think that’s what makes the show fun. The minute he comes like Superman, it’s out. That’s not what Justin wants to play – and I don’t think that’s what the character is.”
Weigert left Tracker Before season 2 with her character being eliminated in the premiere. At the time, Teddi’s wife mentioned that they need a lot of distance from each other, and Velma has been working with Reenie since.
“(Teddi) is going to be there for a while. She helps her mother get sorted. I was going on the road, you could say, and it wasn’t really good,” said Velma at the start of season 2 in February. “So I came back. Don’t worry, because I’m keeping busy.”
Although the Colter team will return, it remained unclear what the new normal will look like in season 3.
“I don’t want the show to ‘call a friend’ every week,” said Reid Us. “I think that gets old, and Justin always challenges me on that. It’s like, ‘Do we need to do this? Do I need to call Bobby all the time? Can I do this?’ … You don’t (always) see Reenie.
By July 2025, it was confirmed that Mcenyy is not returning for season 3.
Graise was evident absent from six episodes During season 2, which is why his cousin Randy (Chris Lee) She was brought in to help Colter. The decision caused backlash from viewers who used to see Graise on their screen.
“It’s one of those things where the availability of actors is always a problem. There have been shows where people don’t even notice (if a character is missing),” provoked Reid Us. “One of the challenges in season 3 will be to re -configure the team and figure out what that team looks like.”
It was confirmed in July 2025 that Graise will not appear in season 3.
According to Reid, season 3 will continue to follow Reenie’s professional issues after branching out on her own. Rene also spoke to Us In November 2024 for what would like to see for reenie Going on.
“Obviously we build on Colter relationships and what he can do. We get to see more of it. But then to Reenie, we see his identity without Colter,” he teased Us. “Before he is, ‘Who is she? What was her relationship with him? Who was she alongside him? How could she help her?’ And while all those things are still true, now we see Reenie.
“Randy came in and gave something to the show that was different too. There was real warmth and fun when he came in. It was something I thought we were also missing a little in some episodes. It was immediately fun when he came in,” Reid told us in May. “With those dynamics – and while playing with this team dynamics – that’s all things we’re going to keep playing with them in season 3 as the show evolves.”
Reid continued: “We’re going to bring back some characters from seasons 1 and 2 – we’re going to see them increasingly. There are some fun characters that I think are fun in Colter (season to season).”
If Hartley has his way – and will be as an executive producer Tracker – his wife, Sofia’s legs. resumes his role as Billie. The fictional character has made several appearances in the first two scenes as Colter and Billie grow closer.
“She’s wonderful. I mean, if I had my choice, I’d spend every minute with her,” Gushed Hartley Us In July 2024. “What is very cool is when you meet someone who means so much to you, that you are so proud to be with and so proud of it, and only such a fan of, and to see her work, because she is such a talented actor. She elevates scenes, and so makes my job easier, really.
During a unique interview with Us. Melissa Roxburgh reveal if she would return to CBS by virtue of guest despite staring in NBC’s The hunting party.
“That is, I hope so. I had so much fun on that show,” Roxburgh, who plays a sister on the Harley screen, divided in February before praising her scene partner for creating such a fun set. “Justin is great. It’s such a lovely and warm set (because) Justin does such a good job of doing it that way.”
He continued. “So I’d love to go back. Justin is a friend, and it’s nice to play with your friends and I love the show, so we’ll see.”
Not just bring the goal Jensen Ackles back on Tracker. During an interview with UsReid did not rule out expanding the universe with a side effect.
“I’m going to try to steal Jensen,” he said Us. “We worked on another show for me before so I’m going to try to kidnap it back from The boys (and Account). “
Ackles teased his future on the popular CBS series, telling Collider in June 2025, “We discuss that as we speak. That’s talking, so yes, I’d hope (I’ll return).”
Despite being ordered and busy, Ackles seemed determined to make the appearance of season 3 work.
“Justin is my dear friend and coming to play with him is always a fun thing,” he added. “So, yes, there are conversations about bringing me back (in season 3). To what ability, I’m not sure yet.”
Despite Colter discovered that his mother has been involved in his father’s death, the mystery begins.
“That story will be far more complicated than you will be led to believe at the end of the season,” Reid shared with Us in May. “His brother Russell has some of the answers to that question. His sister Dory may have some pieces of that. Lizzy his childhood friend (Jennifer Morrison) It could also have some pieces of that. “
