Los -Angeles Sheriff’s Department identified three deputies killed in the blast on the ONT blast on Friday Eastern Los -Andgeles District Training site.
The devastating explosion was considered one of the most deadly internal agency over the years.
The explosion occurred immediately after 7:30 am, taking away the life of MPs Joshua Keli-Exluund, Victor Lemus and William Osborne. All three men were assigned to the details of the special forced execution bureau and were described as brave men who served with pride, courage and unwavering commitment to the protection and service of the community, the Los -Andgeles District Sheriff reported.
“No words to express the pain and sadness we feel,” said Sheriff Robert Luna. “These heroes represented the best in our department, which caused courage, integrity and dedicated service. This is not only a strange loss for their families, but for all of us.”

According to Luna, the dead deputies had 74 years of service.
LASD released a statement on Friday evening, which emphasized the history of the deputies’ service, and each demonstrated a long record of dedication, specialized training and high -risk assignments.

Stephen Kelly-Exluund Detective joined the LASD in 2006, but served at several facilities before becoming a field training officer at the Southern La station. Kelly-Elund received the title of detective at the Bureau of Narcotics in 2016 and worked with major investigations and arrests. It became a certified arson and an explosive investigator in 2022. He was survived by Jessica’s wife and their seven children.

Detective Victor Lemus started his career in LASD in 2003, where he served on Twin Towers and Century Station. Lemus reportedly succeeded as a senior training officer and detective. It was also advertised as decorated baker in Vega-Begun and K-9 handler. He joined the arson and explosives in 2023. He was survived by his wife, Nancy Lemus detective, their three daughters and several family members who also serve in LASD.
The William Osborne detective was an investigator’s arson, he was engaged in cases related to high -dollars in living quarters, as well as fire -related fires. He was the head of peers and took over the role of mentoring recently appointed investigators. (Los -Angeles Sheriff’s Department)
William Osborne’s detective served in patrolling, investigations and educational roles across the county and graduated in 1992. He is allegedly a long -standing detective with a deep admiration for the investigated work. Osborne joined the arson and explosive unit in 2019 and was well known for being a teacher and his experience. He was also a trusted leader in the bomb community.
LASD representatives reported Fox News Digital that the same MPs responded to a call on Thursday in a complex in Santa -Monica, where they assisted the local police department In the capture of explosives.
The incident is still investigating, and it is unclear whether the deputies were considering explosives during the blast.

LASD say the killings detectives are in the process of receiving a search warrant for the location of Santa -Cannon and “With -it Rich Treaty”, LAPD bombs, alcohol, tobacco, firearms and explosives (ATF) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Los -Angeles will look for a place for any possible explosive materials.
“At this time, it was not determined when the devices were found yesterday, which are connected with today’s critical incident,” the officials wrote in a Fox Digital. “The Santa -Monica PD provides assistance to the Sheriff’s Department in this incident and evacuated residents in the complex. They are in the process of placement for displaced residents.”

The details concerning the funeral service for the deputies will soon be published, LASD reports.
“The family asks for private life and compassion during this tragic time. The Department will continue to support families, and our staff throughout the difficult time,” Lasd said.
