The Syrian presidency states that it will deploy a new force to stop the deadly sectarian contractions between Bedouin and rubble in the south.
Syrian temporary president Ahmed al-Sharaa called on “all parties to implement”, amid reports of new battles near the city of Suwida on Friday.
Nearly 600 people were reportedly killed Sunday has erupted since the violence. Government troops located in the area were accused by residents of murdering loose civilians and extrajudicial shootings.
Later Israel hit the target in Syria to force the troops to leave Suweida. On Friday, the US Ambassador to Turkey said Israel and Syria agreed with the ceasefire.
In a report on X Ambassador Tom Barack said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Sharaa “agreed with the ceasefire”, which was taken by Syria’s neighbors Turkey and Jordan.
“We urge rubble, Bedouins and Sunni to delay the weapons, and together with other minorities build a new and only Syrian identity in peace and well -being with neighbors,” the messenger said.
Israel and Syria have not publicly commented on the registered ceasefire agreement.
Shortly before the Sharaa office announced the planned military deployment in the south, an Israeli official said Israel agreed to allow the limited entry of the Syrian security forces in Soveid within 48 hours to protect the civilian residents in light of constant instability.
It is preferable that the Swayida community stems from a secret, unique faith derived from Shiite Islam, and the incredulous current government governed by a jihadist in Damascus.
The BBC correspondent in the Syrian capital claims that the sectarian hatred of rubble is now being distributed across the country.
Rubble is a minority in Syria, as well as in neighboring Lebanon and Israel.
Earlier this week, the UN Chief of Human Rights, Volker Turk, said his office received accurate reports that indicate extensive violations and abuse, including consolidated shootings and arbitrary murders in Suuid.
Among the alleged guilty were participants of security forces and persons related to the Provisional Government, as well as local elements of rubble and Bedouin armed elements, Türk said.
“This is bloodshed and violence should stop,” he warned, adding that “responsible should be taken into account.”
The BBC has contacted the Syrian government and security forces about charges of consolidated murder and other violations.
In the television address, at the beginning of Thursday, Sharaa promised to attract the perpetrators and promised to defend the rubble with a “priority”.
“We strive to prosecute those who have crossed and abused our friends because they are under the protection and responsibility of the state,” he said.
He continued to blame “Groups under the Law”, saying that their leaders “dismissed the dialogue for many months.”
