Thomas Frank loved to assume the “risk” of Tottenham Job despite disturbing managerial history

Thomas Frank is indisputable by Tottenham’s history of sacking managers, as he will take care of his first game with the club.

Frank was appointed as successor to Ange Postecoglou After the Australian was plundered despite guiding Tottenham in the glory of the Europa League, with a 17th place and 21 losses to the Premier League that caused its departure.

Postecoglou became the fifth manager who was plundered by Tottenham during Frank’s previous term in Brentford. After being in charge of 2018, Frank led the bees to promoting the championship in 2021 and later stabilized them as a priest’s club League impressively.

Mauricio Pochettino, Jose Mourinho, Nuno Esperito Santo and Antonio Conte were also sacked by Spurs during Frank’s time with their rivals in London.

But the Dane is not decisive for this disturbing recent history.

Frank said to a pre-party media conference before Saturday’s friendly with reading: “I like to challenge myself.

“I’ve been so privileged, I never had looted. So this is one of the reasons why I took the job, so I could have a little more risk in my daily life.

“I arrive at a big club that is beautiful. We have to do it -because we are me. It is the staff, they are the players, it is everyone. And we have to do it together.

“So I like ambitions and everything I do, every decision I have made so far, everything is long -term.

“It is not a matter of surviving a party or a year or 18 months, or what is average, no, it is long term.

“I will do everything, every day, to work to bring this club to new heights. This is ambition.

“If I wasn’t ambitious, I would not sit here. I’m looking forward to -“

Asked about Spurs victory about Manchester United in the Europa League final, Postcoglou added: “It was positive they won. They got the trophy deserved by this club.

“Hopefully we can add -the first goal is to be able to compete in the four tournaments.

“This must be the ambition it is based on. The 2019 Champions League final was the last season that the club was able to compete in more than one competition.

“We need to be able to compete in Europe and cups. If you can compete, there is a chance you can be on top.”
