When season 6 was performed for the first time in June 2024, Serena immediately catching Kordell’s eye. The couple counted their romance as viewers tuned daily to see their bond strengthening. Before their year birthday, Serena and Kordell reflect on the significance of representing black love on reality television.
“As someone who grew up watching reality TV and I hadn’t seen much black love on TV, who went in there and thought that would happen? Not at all,” Serena explained to Us. “I didn’t think that would happen, but I’m so grateful and blessed that I was in that. I found me such an amazing black man who loves me down.”
Serena noted that they were as committed to each other as ever. “We do a lot of things together,” she shared. “We’re honest each other’s fans because we kind of two know what we’re going through at the moment. At any time I have anything, I’m like, ‘babe.'” “

“In (first) he was going to do that with me. I had fully confirmed, signed the contracts and everything, and then ordered,” said Page Teen Vogue. “I was very proud of it, but I was sad and made me very worried about filming because I was like, ‘damn, I’m going to be alone.’”
He continued: “I have been given, I have my daughters Leah (Kebate) and Jana (Craig) but their men on the show made it with them. There were many times where I was like, ‘Damn, I don’t know. We’re supposed to be steering our relationship, but you’re about to be in a completely different state. What am I going to do?’” ””
Serena praised Kordell for doing “Incredible job encouraging”She would join her on the show when she could.
“It was like, ‘any cookies of opportunity I can get, I’m going to be on that screen with you.’ And honestly, you’re going to see a lot more of it than you would have expected, ”he shared. “Maybe (only) a handful of scenes I’ve made without it.
