Four people were killed and more than 1300 were evacuated as a pouring pounds of South Korea’s rain, and the authorities warn that the non -season flow will continue.
Two people in the 80s were among the killed. Authorities believe one of them tried to drain the floods from the basement.
The third victim was defeated when the wall collapsed on his car. A few minutes before he called his wife to say that the vehicle was “placed”, the authorities say. The fourth victim died of heart stop.
“I couldn’t understand how something like this could happen,” says Kim Ha-min, the owner of the Cafe in the city of Gges. He says this is the first time she survived such a heavy rain.
The record rainfall has pushed the South Korean government to increase the warning of the weather, to the highest level.
“Everything is covered with water, except for the roof (my house),” the resident writes in one of the affected areas on the Internet.
More than 400 mm of rain poured out in the afternoon in Seosan, the worst city, along the western coast of the weather, called the event once a century.
Photos and videos on social networks show vehicles and houses that are immersed, with furniture savings.
Ms Kim, Gwandj, who recorded 426 mm on Thursday, said she was afraid because “I had never seen floods before, because there is no flow and river in the area.”
The 26-year-old girl had to close the cafe after he was filled with floods: “I drained the water, but the smell of the sewer is so bad that I cannot open for business.”
Several injuries have been registered across the country, including two people suffering from hypothermia and two other leg injuries.
As of 16:00 local time (07:00 GMT), more than 1300 people were evacuated on Thursday.
Authorities urge people to stay away from the coast, steep slopes and underground spaces, warning that the risk of landslides and the flood outbreaks remains high.
Dry air from the northwestern, mixed with hot and humid air from the south, forming particularly large rain clouds, says the meteorological administration of South Korea.
But forecasters expect the high temperature to return next week, with the possibility of a thermal wave.
