And just like that Season 3 warms up at dangerous speeds – and so does “work crush.” Lisa Todd Wexley.
During the chapter on Thursday, July 17, of the Sex and the city Spinoff, Lisa (Nicole Ari Parker) admits to Charlotte (Kristin Davis) she had a steam dream about her colleague Marion (Mehcad Brooks), Editor on his Docuseries.
“I had a sex dream of my editor last night, it was very clear and I woke up very much,” said Lisa while on a walk with Charlotte, which of course asks for details. “We were on a farm and it worked for me.”
Lisa goes on to marvel, “Why is this happening? I have a great sex life with my very sexy husband. So why does Marion tear my bodies away in a field?”
Charlotte ensures that it is “just a dream,” adding, “I don’t really think you need to feel guilty about a dream.… (My sex dreams) have nothing to do with reality because sometimes in those dreams, I have short hair.”
Lisa takes her one -step confession further, saying to Charlotte, “Sometimes I flirting with it while we work. That is, it’s nothing obvious sexual, but there’s a disgruntled energy between us and I feel it. And I think it’s doing too.”
When Charlotte suggests that the duo could only have a powerful creative connection, Lisa agrees. “Yes! Thank you for saying that, you’re right,” he said. “We are flirting while working. We’re ‘flirking.’”
Later, Lisa and Marion eat lunch together in the office when he says he is in a mood for “something different” than his usual salad. Lisa cannot identify, answering, “I am right with what I have,” in a goal that is not so subtle to remain loyal to her husband.
Marion then suggests that he “thinks of” Lisa the night before. He invites her to a demonstration of a documentary produced by the Obamas in the hope of becoming one step closer to Michelle taking part in their own project. Lisa is declining initially, but the opportunity to “trap someone” from the production company is too good to pass up eventually. She’s bail at the opening of Charlotte Gallery – and a lunch date with her husband – and joins Marion instead.
Sitting next to each other in the theater, Marion’s leg brushes Lisa – and she leaves in a hurry.
“It’s passing ‘Flirking,’ Charlotte,” he said over the phone after she suddenly left. “He is now flirting.… He touched his leg with my leg. And not at work. I played with fire. I feel like the worst wife and mother.”
Before Charlotte can respond, Marion calls Lisa and presents her to the important producer.
Parker Coy previously played for Lisa’s “crushing work” conflicts in a unique Weekly US Cover story interview Before Première Season 3.
“I can’t say a word,” he teased in May, joking that she “signed so many documents” not to ruin any story lines.
However, the actress praised the writers push the envelope. “They really set up the Wexleys (like a couple)… and they put in a little danger in there,” he told Us.
