Paris Hilton shares an emotional update afterwards Los Angeles home burned down in fires sweeping the area.
On Thursday, January 9, Hilton, 43, shared a video of herself visiting what’s left of her home via Instagram, showing the devastation caused by the fires that started on Tuesday, January 7, and have ravaged parts of LAincluding Pacific Palisades, Malibu and the Hollywood Hills.
“I’m standing here in what used to be our home, and the heartbreak is truly indescribable.💔🥺,” Hilton said. video from the wreckage of her home. “When I first saw the news, I was in complete shock – I couldn’t process it. But now, standing here and seeing it with my own eyes, it feels like my heart has shattered into a million pieces.😢💔”
“This house wasn’t just a place to live – it was where we dreamed, laughed and created the most beautiful memories as a family. It was where Phoenix’s little hands made art that I will treasure forever, where love and life filled every corner. To see him reduced to ashes… it’s devastating beyond words,” she continued, referring to her son Phoenix, who turns 2 this month. (Hilton also shares daughter London, 12 months, with a husband Carter Reum.)
In the caption, Hilton shared her condolences with other Los Angeles residents who have lost their homes, noting, “It’s not just walls and roofs – it’s the memories that made those houses homes. These are the pictures, the souvenirs, the unique pieces of our lives.”
However, the former reality star and DJ admitted she was “extremely lucky.”
“My loved ones, my babies, and my pets are safe.🥹 That’s the most important thing, and I hold that gratitude with everything I have,” she added, thanking firefighters and first responders who have been tackled the wildfires for the last three days.
Wednesday night, January 8, the Paris and Nicole: The Encore star divided through Instagram that she was among the many celebrities who had lost their homes in the fires. Hilton wrote that her home was “where Phoenix took its first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London.”
More than 130,000 are under evacuation orders, per the Associated Press. Stars includedg Mark Hamill, Jennie Garth a Mandy Moore among those who left their homes. Other stars shared news that they had lost their homes including Milo Ventimiglia, Miles Teller a Billy Crystal.
