The Nominations are out for this year’s Emmy Awardsand as always one of the biggest stories is about the shows and performers who were abducted.
Acor – the Disney+ original series acting as prequel to Rogue One: Star Wars Story – has done very well with 14 Emmy nominations, including the best drama series.
However, the only actors who received goals were Forest whitaker and Alan Tudyk For guest star and voiceover, respectively.
Snubbed one of the best performances 2025 of Stellan Skarsgårdas well as large turns past Genevieve O’Reilly and the star of the series Diego luna. Here are a few reasons why their performances deserve to be recognized and appreciated.

Would have been unrealistic to expect all actors Acor For Emmy’s nomination. However, this series was an actor’s display with an incredible support cast, including Adria arjona. Denise Gough. Kyle leaves. Elizabeth Duls and others.
Yet Luthen Rael Skarsgård pulled above the rest with his intensity and moral ambiguity. Even during the first season, Luthen exposed him to be damned for the use of the Empire’s tactics against her, but remained unapproved and unapological to the end.
Acor Season 2 did not give Skarsgård a monologue with his best scene from the first season, but he stole the show every time he was on screen. Even in Luthen’s final appearance, Skarsgård had one more chance to display the depth of his character in an extended backlash that chronicled his transformation into an insurgency.
Genevieve O’Reilly revived unused character

Mon Mothma has been involved in Star Wars Franchise since 1983’s Return the JediBut she didn’t actually become a lit character until AcorRun two seasons. O’Reilly Mothma briefly portrayed The vengeance of the Sith and Rogue oneBut this was the series that gave her something real to convey it, and ran with it.
Until recently, Disney’s content between Hulu and Disney+ went to one direction only as the latter shook his lineup with the titles of the former libraries. A mothma arc at the show is about a politician coming to terms with everything she must sacrifice to keep the rebellion alive, including the love of her own family and morality. O’Reilly was especially great for conveying the quiet despair of Mothma as she compromised after compromising. And she was also very convincing when Mothma got her big moment in season 2 when the empire denied forcefully and endangered her own life in the process. Although the best supporting actress in drama was a crowded category this year, O’Reilly deserved to be at least nominated for her stellar work.
Diego Luna brought with complexity and intensity to ‘Andor’

It may seem like a grave praise to call Luna’s third best actor on his own show, but that’s simply because it was surrounded by talented costers. This show was built around its Rogue one Character, and would not have worked if Luna had not been able to incorporate Cassian Andor’s transfer of a simple thief into a revolutionary who was willing to set his life to end the empire.
Luna may not have had the amazing monologues of Luthen Skarsgård or the quieter dramatic moments that Moth of O’Reilly suffered, but carried the show with its solo focus. But when Cassian’s emotions came to the surface, Luna presented one of the best performances of his career. It was not enough to be recognized as one of the best actors in drama, but the legend of Cassian Andor in the Star Wars The universe will live far beyond Emmy’s awards.
