It continued on Wednesday when Trump said Powell, which the president had appointed during his first term, “did his lousy work,” but while he said he didn’t rule out anything, “it is very unlikely if he did not have to go for fraud.”
The federal reserve system is independent of the White House.
Powell denied that the White House had the powers to fire it, especially as a policy, but the White House officials said it could be deleted in the case.
