England has surprised the fourth test against India in Manchester, as they recalled Liam Dawson after eight years to replace the young wounded spinner Shoaib Bashir. Bashir broke his little left finger during the 22 -year victory of England on India in the third test of Lord’s.

His battle also attracted selectors to find him. Liam Dawson, who has so far only played three tests for England, recently impressed in the T20I series against the West Indies. The spinner has 371 first class doctors along with 18 centuries in his name.
