Former Captain of England, Michael Atherton, has shared the controversy surrounding the fine of Mohammed Siraj for the animated sending to Ben Duckett on the 4th of the Third Testing between India and England in the iconic Lord de London Cricket Land in London.
The CPI shook hands with Mohammed Siraj with a fine of 15% of its party share and a dementious point, but Atherton believes that the incident has been expelled. Even the English commentator has compared Siraj-Duckett’s moment to a past episode that involved Kohli and Sam Konstas.
Atherton mentioned how Kohli and Sam Konstas had virated, they had crossed the line through physical contact, but the touch of the shoulder to Lord seemed accidental while defending the fast Indian diaper. Even the former Captain of England said that Mohammed Siraj made an effort to avoid a confrontation with Duckett.

Michael Atherton said Sky Sports said, “There is a line and no one wants to see physical altercations. So, when Kohli turned his way to give the young Sam Konstas a shoulder load this winter, this was a no. It was not to be sealed.”

However, the well -known broadcaster has hosted the party’s referee call to ignore the minor shoulder brush and, on the other hand, only penalized Siraj for its intense celebration on the face. He felt that the punishment delivered to Siraj was smaller and, therefore, people should not do a drama.
Atherton added, “ Yesterday, the little touch of shoulder was completely accidental. Siraj tried to get out of the way. Duckett touched him when he left. The party referee did not do any action on the shoulder barge, rightly, and only said that Siraj was on Duckett’s face. For me, this is a thing and nothing: a 15 percent of his ghost.
In fact, Mohammed Siraj has been fined 15% of its match share for a burning shipment to Ben Duckett at Lord’s. The incident took place on the sixth day on the 4th when Siraj fired Duckett and celebrated right in front of him, giving rise to an intense moment between the two.
Siraj and Duckett contacted the shoulder, as the fast diaper Indian gave an aggressive shipment, which the ICC considered as a breach of its code of conduct. The ICC stated that Siraj violated article 2.5, which deals with actions or gestures that could lead to an aggressive response from a fired batter. In addition to the fine, Siraj also received a point of demento.
This is his second point demered for the Aeri Paceman of India Mohammed Siraj in less than a year, after receiving one in December 2024 after a field exchange with the head of Travis of Australia. If a player picks up four or more debt points in a period of 24 months, these points become suspension points, which can lead to a prohibition of matches.

In the meantime, one of the most spoken moments of the border-Gavaskar 2024-25 trophy was a stunned clash between Kohli and the young Australian whisk Sam Konstas. The incident took place at the MCG during the Australian entrances when the two players crossed their roads to the field.
As Kohli and Konstas passed in front, his shoulders were brushed and caused tension. The two players immediately turned around and had a heated exchange. Things climbed until Senior Usman Khawaja intervened to calm the situation and separate them.
