Eli Wilitz goes to citizens in the MLB project

Eli Wilitz High School became the last teenager who took a big step in committing his professional baseball dreams.

A Washington’s national citizens On Sunday night, Willits was selected with the overall choice of the amateur project MLB.

At the age of 17, he is the youngest player who has taken number 1 since Ken Gryffy -Jolly in 1987 with Seattle Mars.

He is the son of ex-major Leiger Raji Wilica, who competed for Los Angeles Angels and was a coach in New York Yankee.

Wilitz played at baseball at Fort Brookst’s high school Oklahol. It switches, which is expected to put more strength into your swing when it develops.

“I feel like I have a good hit and I’m going to move it to a new level,” Wilits said of my strengths. “And I feel that my power is coming and coming, but I needed to enter such an organization as citizens that can help develop this, and transfer it to the next level.”

Willits 17 years and 216 days. Gryffi was 17 and 193 days when the sailors chose him No. 1. Tim Foley, which became the main choice in 1968, was the youngest in 17 years, 180 days, reports mlb.com.
