Vanessa Hudgens through the years: her life in pictures

Singing was the beginning of a lifelong career for Vanessa hudgens.

Hudgens grew up singing and making musical theater since she was 4 years old. She starred in local productions of The Wizard of Oz, The Music Man and Knot Before portraying Gabriella Montez is a Channel Disney franchise High School Musical. She also released studio albums V (2006) and Distinguished (2008) between films.

Following her time on Disney, Hudgens starred Punch suction (2011), Spring cutters (2012) and Netflix’s The princess’s switch Movies. He continued to perform on stage and starred in Fox’s live musical productions Grease alive! (2016) and Rent: Live (2019).

In May 2024 it was revealed that the actress was the season 11 winner The singer hidden. During the premiere of the season, Hudgens referred to her successful career while under goldfish persona.

“When I first started out, I made a splash overnight. But all that success made me feel living in a fish rainbow, with everyone’s eyes and expectations,” he said at the time.

After being unmarked, Hudgens reflected on the competition saying, “I never knew that this would give me the freedom to do something I love.”

“I grew up doing musical theater,” he told A! News following her great victory. “I’ve been doing almost my whole life. All those hours are not going to disappear. I had to bring that with me to the work I do constantly. And this was a very lovely and fun place to be able to share that.”
