For years, Lady Fans have been begging Lena Dunham To create – or even suggest – a possible side effect based on the dear character Shoshanna Shapiro. Many years later, the writer, director and actress has finally revealed the likelihood that that wish will actually come to fruition.
Dunham, 39, admitted that Shoshanna, played by Zosia mametwere the “best character” on Lady and “the most enlightened” during the appearance of the podcast “not thin but not fat” on Tuesday, July 8.
Host Amanda Hirsch noted that Mamet, 37, had previously been on the podcast and expressed an interest in the possibility of OA Lady Spinoff contains her character. She is not the only one that holds out that could happen one day.
“Listen, I love Shoshannah. I’m on record A (I’ll) say she’s my favorite girl. “Also, it is such a joy to watch Zosia be her, so if it were the right context for us to do it, I would have broken me and also to do anything with her.”
Admitted that the idea of spinoff was “kicked around,” and she has thought where the Lady Characters “it would be now.”
“It would be so great in revisiting him, and I just miss him, and I miss him,” Dunham said about Mamet possibly portraying Shoshanna again. “I’m in.”
Dunham also released where the characters would be today in a subsequent interview with Diversity on Tuesday.
“Shoshanna was married, divorced then, mayor of New York City, and she runs the start of Athleisure which is a zero waste,” Dunham told the outlet for her vision. “Marnie – it’s a third wedding. She is still singing, but I think Marnie needs to take him to sex and love trapped people.”
“Jessa is unvaccinated and lives on a boat in Croatia,” he continued. “Adam is a cult theater actor, probably living in Berlin, and Ray is still on the city council and runs his coffee shop and does better than anyone. Elijah is the fourth leader on a sitting comedy, making a good amount of money and still looking for love in all the wrong places.”
Dunham almost forgot to dream of a future for the a controversial character She portrayed her in LadyHannah Horvath.
“Oh my God, I forgot about her!” he said. “She teaches in the poet and loves to raise her son. She probably has a girlfriend who, like, is a cook. And she is less obsessed with being famous. That’s where I feel she would land.”
Lady He ran for six seasons on HBO, with the end of his series broadcasting in April 2017. In the final episode of the show, Marnie, play by Allison Williamsis going to live with Hannah pregnant at her upstate house. Five months later, Hannah has given birth to a little boy called Grover and is struggling with breastfeeding. Hannah’s mother also arrives to lend a hand.
Hannah is worsened with Marnie, who is trying to help him get Grover to latch and storms away in the middle of the night. While on her walk in the dark, Hannah runs into a teenage girl who runs away from home. After reasoning with the girl, she tells her to get back home and has a big revelation about parenting – realizing that a parent will strive to do what is best for their child. When she returns home, she and Marnie make up and she can get a grover to latch, as she breastfeeds her.
